Mile Marker

When they finished the bike trail behind my house and I started walking it I was still a 3 Dayer, so was doing a lot of training walks and needed to know my mileage.  I use Nike+ with GPS to track my miles.  We had a big storm not long after the bike trail opened.  This nice tree fell at my one mile mark.

Finally signs of spring on my walk


These pics are from yesterday, it's storming and raining here today.  This is my view on the bike trail behind my house, as you can see the trees are finally starting to bud.  It's been a long cold winter here and not much of a spring.  The second pic is of my walking buddy.

Fitness Photo Challenge

OK Michelle!!!

I'm joining the fitness photo challenge that my dear friend Michelle posted about here.

My fitness goals are two-fold to get back in shape and to de-stress.  We have a lot going on in our house right now, with DBF's newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes and DD graduating.

I'm already in a 10k step challenge with some wonderful friends and have averaged 66,000 steps a week.  So now I challenge myself to 560,0000 steps for this 8 week challenge.

This is from *gulp* not a few but alot of years ago.  Time flies by too fast.  I'm sick so posting an older photo until I'm able to be called human again, I sound like a frog right now. *ribbit*

Lunch recipe

141.5, yippeeee?

Yummy summer salad, had it for lunches last week.

Asian Tuna Slaw


Servings: 4

Ingredients:
2 (12 ounce) bags broccoli slaw
1 cup chopped gala or red delicious apple (about 2 large)
(2) 5 ounce cans Albacore White Tuna in Water
1/2 cup low-fat sesame ginger dressing (like Newman's Sesame Ginger)
Directions:Drain tuna well.  In a medium bowl, mix broccoli slaw, apple, and tuna. Top with dressing and toss to coat.  If possible refrigerate for 15-20 minutes before eating

Calories: 195   Fat: 3.2   Carbs: 21   Fiber: 7   Protein: 22

My body hates me.

Atleast it sure seems like it.  I've tried WW again, I tried counting calories, clean eating too, I can't lose weight.  My weight has topped at 142 and there I sit, gaining and losing the same 2 pounds over and over again.  Why?!?!?!

I read today that I should be doing weight lifting or strength training to lose weight, cardio won't do it.  Maybe?

So I'm back to this blog.  Back and hoping to glean something from the person I was back in 2008, the skinny and in shape Breezy.
